Hey you guys, my name is Teda and welcome to turkishclass101.com. |
In this video we'll talk about renting an apartment using your Turkish. |
So maybe you will come to Turkey to live here |
and you will need some vocabulary and information on the subject. |
So keep watching if so. |
First of all, before we start with the related vocabulary and sentences, |
let's talk about how you can rent an apartment in Turkey. |
You can either use technology or go old school. |
We have three major websites that you can check out for apartments. |
hürriyetemlak.com, milliyetemlak.com and sahibinden.com. |
I will put them somewhere here. |
If you want to go old school, you can choose the neighborhood you want to live in |
and find the local real estate agents. |
Generally we have three to four real estate agencies in each neighborhood, |
in big cities of course, such as Istanbul. |
So you can call them and just visit them by the door |
and tell what you want for an apartment. |
Second thing you need to know, you can either rent an apartment empty or furnished. |
General furnished apartments are harder to find but there are some for expats. |
And empty apartments are really empty. |
Generally no closets, no washers, no oven and anything. |
And in Turkey we don't have a common washroom |
so you will need one washer in your apartment. |
But keep in mind some newer apartments may have some appliances. |
So if you prefer those kind of apartments, |
you should tell the agent or arrange your online search preferences accordingly. |
We have a video called, I think it was the cost of living in Turkey, |
