Hi, everybody!
Do you know how to say 'I love you' in Turkish? In this lesson, you'll learn three different ways to say 'I love you' and a special phrase for Valentine's Day.
Let’s start with the most common phrase.
Seni seviyorum.
[slowly] Seni seviyorum.
"I love you."
This phrase is direct. You should use it only when you're confessing your love.
If you want to be less direct, you can use this phrase.
Sen benim için çok şey ifade ediyorsun.
[slowly] Sen benim için çok şey ifade ediyorsun.
It means "You mean so much to me."
Now if you want to be more romantic in expressing your love for someone, you can say this phrase.
Sana olan sevgimi kelimelerle tarif edemem.
[slowly] Sana olan sevgimi kelimelerle tarif edemem.
It means "Words cannot describe my love for you."
Now you know three different ways to say 'I love you' in Turkish! And here's one more. What if you want to spend Valentine's Day with someone special? In that case, you can say...
Sevgililer gününü benimle geçirir misin?
[slowly] Sevgililer gününü benimle geçirir misin?
It means "Would you like to spend Valentine's day with me?"
