Lesson focus
|
In this lesson we shall see a very useful phrase meaning "I don't understand." It is useful, of course, because many times you won't immediately pick up on what people are saying. |
In Turkish, "I don't understand" is Anlamıyorum. Let's break it down. An-la-mı-yo-rum. And once more, Anlamıyorum. |
Another thing you can say when you're confused is "I don't know," which in Turkish is Bilmiyorum. Let's break it down. Bil-mi-yo-rum. Bilmiyorum. |
Another recourse is to tell someone, "I don't speak Turkish." This phrase in Turkish is Türkçe konuşmuyorum. Let's break it down. Türk-çe ko-nuş-mu-yo-rum. Once again. Türkçe konuşmuyorum. |
The first word, Türkçe, means "Turkish." Türk-çe. Türkçe. This is followed by Konuşmuyorum, which means "do not speak." Ko-nuş-mu-yo-rum. Konuşmuyorum. |
Here's the whole sentence again. Türkçe konuşmuyorum. And with the native speed, Türkçe konuşmuyorum. |
