Merhaba! Hi everyone, it’s Selin. Ben Selin, nasılsınız? Welcome to Turkish Weekly Words. We don’t know the content of the lesson yet. Let’s find out together. |
In Your Wallet cüzdanında. Wallet means cüzdan. In Your Wallet is cüzdanında. |
So we are talking about that. Okay. |
1. nakit para "cash" |
I don’t have it in my wallet. |
ATM'den nakit para çektim ve cüzdanıma koydum. |
"I withdrew money from ATM and I put it in my wallet." I said. |
ATM is ATM. |
2. kredi kartı "credit card" |
Bankalar kredi kartı vermek istiyor. Which means "Banks usually try to give credit cards." I mean to customers. |
3. kupon "coupon" |
Kuponunuz varsa indirim alabilirsiniz. "If you have coupon then you can get discount." |
4. ehliyet "driver's license" |
I am not a very good driver. I think many people prefer cars especially in Istanbul. |
Ehliyetim var ama araba süremiyorum. "I have driver's license but I cannot drive." |
5. anahtar "key" |
This is the key for my house. So, |
Evimin anahtarı. "My house key." Key! |
And so what do I have in my wallet? This is my wallet. It looks good on me, right? Now, what do I have? Money, cash, coins. Coins in here. |

Hide"Which word do you like the most?"
Hi Hüseyin
Use "...alabilme.." instead of "...alabilmek..." and it will be great 😄 You are quite good at this.
Cheers,

When I was in Istanbul, I bought a perfume in one of the stores in the Cevahir Mall, they gave me a coupon and told me that next time I can get discount if I buy things from them, so next time if I go there, is it correct to ask for the discount in this way:
Geçen yıl, ben burda alışveriş yaptıktan sonra siz bir kupon verdiniz bana , acaba onunla indirim alabilmek şansımız var mı?
Please correct this for me, and what are other ways of expression for passing this message?
Thanks
